A bit out of the city centre but near the active part of Edgbaston, but I walked there from Birmingham City Centre - and it was well worth it! A large restaurant which can clearly cater for all sizes of parties, but even this solitary diner was not forgotten and it not feel swamped as I was nestled in one of the many nooks and crannies and able to catch up with my reading amongst the hustle and bustle.
The service and attention is superb, the kitchen staff deliver just prepared food to your table, the waiters are knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. The price is fantastic for all this too.
The food is as good as best Indian I've ever had. The lamb and spinach balti was to die for, whilst my liver tikka starter and vegetable karahi side were as good as they get. Thoroughly recommend it.
Instantly welcomed the card and seemed pleased that someone had found their way. Given that I was dining alone, and I would only order one main. He simply gave me the most expensive dish for free. They even gave me a glass of red wine on the house although I don't know if this had anything to do with membership or not. Incredible all round.
