Bombay Brasseries in Nottingham are a little like buses in that you wait forever for just one to come along and then two arrive at the same time. Though sharing a name, the two apparitions in fact have different owners and are, on a second look, unique. Mapperley's Bombay Brasserie is a modern eatery with traditional values and has become renowned locally and further afield as one of the most enjoyable and pleasurable restaurants to visit. Their pledge is to 'surpass our clientèle's anticipation with good honest food. We are passionate about the food, serious about the service'.

Last night was our first visit to Bombay Brasserie...the beauty of being a GS member means you try places you wouldn't normally, and I'm so pleased that we are now aware of this restaurant. The food was lovely with good sized portions, service really friendly and the pace that the food was bought out was judged just right so we were able to enjoy a very civilised evening with friends without feeling rushed nor forgotten. Great selection of dishes including a good variety of vegetarian specialities. In fact, only criticism would be almost too much choice! Great saving with GS card but would have been more than happy to pay the full amount. Will definitely recommend and hope to return again.

6 of us visited the Bombay on New Years Eve and have to say the food was superb as was the service despite being very busy. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and certainly return.

This has to be my favourite restaurants in Nottingham. I have been to this restaurant many a times before i had got my gourmet card. Being an Indian myself. I am very fussy when it comes to going out to eat a curry. The food has to be authentic in taste using freshest spices. The food at this restaurant is superb, ambience is lovely. The service is very friendly. I have to say the food is far more tastier and value for money then that of Mem Saab.!!!!

After eating at many curry places in Nottingham, we eventually tried Bombay after many urges from my sister in law. We could not believe that this restaurant had been on our doorstep for so long and we had not tried it. The service is fantastic, the restaurant and ambience is lovely and the food is superb. This restaurant is the reason why we purchased a Gourmet Society card, we go there so often now, it is well worth it.

I have been going to Bombay Brasserie for quite some time as I live locally. Now its even better value with the gourmet card. I've always found the food to be of a high standard. The menu has a wide variety of dishes and also a good selection of fish & seafood which is unusual in an out of town Indian. Always a great night out.

I'm not sure if my friends and I went to a different restaurant to everyone else.
Four of us went and the curries were bland, westernised, tomato-based rubbish; portions were tiny!
If you're after top-notch Indian go to Meem Saab, you will have a much better time.

I have been a regular customer of this restaurant for a long time, years before I became a GS member. I have eaten there many times, the food is fantastic and consistent, the atmosphere is relaxed and the staff attentive without being intrusive.

In one world superb... It was my first visit to Bombay, and i was very pleased. The food was fantastic and the service excellent. I loved everything about the place. The decor, was very relaxing and they had some really quirky wine glasses, which all added to the overall impression. The portion sizes were great, plenty to eat, but not too much, it was non-greasy which i find important with Indian food. The presentation of all dishes were was top class, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff, even extra sauce ect. I had the Chicken Paneer Starter which was one of the best starters I have had, and the salad it came with had Melon & Strawberries on it which were so refreshing. Main course was Chicken Kashmiri which was full of flavour. On the whole very nice and I would throughly recommend, and I will be going back
