Chinese President Hu Jintao is one of the lucky recipients of Matser Guo of Nosh's fine cooking. Mr Songlin Guo is the master chef at Feast and has brought from the People's Republic a type of Chinese cooking rarely seen in this country: Szechuan.
Szechuan is generally spicier than the normal Cantonese food that Hong Kong chefs create. Feast is the first, and only, restaurant in the East Midlands to offer this cuisine that is fast becoming a favourite on the London scene.
Master Guo's skills are combined with those of the long-time restaurateur Peter Chan. Peter's subtle touches can be seen all over the restaurant and these ensure that it is generally acclaimed to be the best Chinese cuisine in Nottingham. If it was in the town centre or one of the more "fashionable" suburbs people would be queuing round the block.
