If you've got a big appetite but a small budget, we'd definitely recommend a trip to Scruffy's on Derby Road. The dishes range from Vegetarian, Chicken, Pasta and Mexican dishes, through to Stir-frys and SteaksÂ… and not forgetting the infamous home made 'Scruffy Burger' - a range of 25oz burgers, challenging in the extreme just to fit it into the bun! Scruffy's is perhaps the most relaxed restaurant in Nottingham. It prides itself on its hearty portions and reasonable prices. The decor lends itself to nearly every occasion, whether it be a romantic evening or a large party, post-exams liquid celebrations, or just a hearty lunch with friends, the candlelit ambience is offset with the odd wooden chairs and the innovative wall decorations. With a cocktail bar, entertaining staff, Scruffy's Big Breakfasts, Bloody Marys on tap, along with the newspapers, board games and soundtracks and all available 7 nights a week not forgetting 'Sunday Service' providing hearty roasts; Scruffy's is a big winner.
