We visited softleys for a second time and found the food to be some of the best to offer in the county, yes, it can be a little costly but you cannot put a price on quality.

We have had our card for abour a year now and have visited a number of restaurants in our area, and must say that this was definatley one of the best. Not cheap by any means, but well worth the trip due to some excellent food and great service

Softley's is a splendid restaurant. It's a bit on the pricey side but the food was first rate. Had a lovely evening.

We love Sofleys - the menu is rather expensive, but food is sourced locally and of a very high standard. It is only a small restaurant, but nice ambience - small and friendly. On arrival you are always offered a drink at the bar and shown the menu - you can choose to go directly to your table if you prefer. There is a good choice for all courses. The best ever starter is scallops served on black pudding and wrapped in pancetta, drizzled with a quality balsamic vinegar - delicious if highly priced at about ?8.95 This week I had the fillet steak - not my usual choice (I normally have fish) but it was pefectly cooked and very tender. Vegetables also very good. I also recommend the banoffee pie for desert....mmmmm..... Service great - no complaints although without the gourmet card it would be very expensive.
