Cuisine:Italian

Strada offers diners a stylish setting to enjoy a break from shopping or exploring Nottingham's many attractions and it has a menu dedicated to providing exactly the kind of traditional dishes one would expect to find travelling around Italy. Strada uses only the finest and freshest ingredients such as single vineyard extra virgin olive oil, Parma ham and Buffalo mozzarella imported from Italy. Notable dishes include the delicious Risotto all'Aragosta e Gamberoni (Lobster and tiger prawn risotto with garlic, chilli, white wine, thyme, broad beans and roasted Italian tomatoes) and the wonderful Salmone con Lenticchie (roasted fillet of Scottish salmon wrapped in pancetta. Served with braised lentils, green beans and a mustard dressing) A range of traditional pizzas - each one theatrically spun by hand - is also an integral feature of Strada's menu. Options include the Rustica served with chargrilled Neapolitan sausage. Desserts are also faithful to the authentic theme with classics such as panettone al forno, a warm panettone bread and butter pudding served with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.

What our members say about Strada

We ate last night at Strada Nottingham for the first time since it opened. We opted for the Christmas set menu which they allowed us to have despite the fact that we hadn't booked and pre-ordered.
Food was very good, antipasti starter was very tasty but was served vegetarian with no meats (we didn't ask for vegetarian!), and the main course pizza didn't come with the parmesan shavings it should have had and was certainly missing that ingredient. Service was very slow despite the fact that we had told them that we needed to be out within an hour and a half. Ended up rushing dessert
Would go back, but be prepared to be in there for a more relaxed 2 hours at least for 3 courses.
They did take 25% off the bill though for the delayed service and lack of meats on the starter.

I booked to go to Strada when going to the theatre as its nearby and was not expecting outstanding food as I knew it was part of a chain but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable and the food was very tasty. I can honestly say it was one of the best chains I've been too.

Average food, good service, decent prices. It is what it is i.e. chain restaurant food: consistently acceptable but nothing outstanding.

I visited Strade in Nottingham with 2 friends last Sunday evening at 8.30pm. We were the only 3 people in the restaurant which was a shame as it was very quiet and lacked any atmosphere. Aside that, we all ordered pizzas and were very impressed. The portion is huge and the toppings tasty and fresh. They had unfortunately run out of sparkling water so we had to have still water. The wine list is of a reasonable price and choice and the service was good (although I wouldn't expect any less as we were the only table in there!)

On two occasions now I have visited the recently-opened Strada in Nottingham for lunch and found the experiences very pleasant. A friendly welcome was forthcoming on both occasions and staff were happy to let me choose where I wanted to sit. Menus were extensive and very varied, with simple lunch dishes easy to select. We were offered additional breads/olives, though no mention was made of the extra charge these would incur. A free bottle of filtered water was placed on the table, a simple touch that more restaurants in this country would do well to copy. The food took a while to arrive at our table, but this was totally acceptable as it was obviously being prepared freshly. On the occasions I visited I opted for the green vegetable risotto and the ricotta and spinach ravioli dishes, which oozed both taste and aroma and were cooked to perfection. A glass of cold Pinot Grigo complemented the dishes perfectly. There was a 10 per cent service charge added to the bill, which we were quite happy to pay.
