The Belper Arms

The Belper Arms is one of those little pubs that will make you wish you lived in the area due to the marvellous interior, and the great variety of ales. It is one of the oldest pubs in Leicestershire, with parts dating back to circa 1290 and inside it is full of interesting memorabilia. You will feel at home the minute you step in through the door as the pub brings a very friendly crowd, looks nice and clean, serves great food as well as a great selection of beers and all at great prices. The Belper Arms is also claimed to have its own ghost: "Five To Four Fred" is the alternative spirit in the bar! Alleged to be from the Civil War and apparently he has ghostly eye for the ladies!
