The Windmill

Situated in the middle of the village of Redmile, 1 mile from Belvoir Castle, is The Windmill. The Windmill is one of those charming village pubs which has benefited from a recent refurbishment by the proprietors. David and Kirsten have created a wonderful atmosphere - taking the best contemporary furnishings but keeping its traditional rustic feel. The bar area contains the type of soft leather sofas that practically begs for an afternoon nap and in the winter months there is also a real fire from a log burner. The non smoking restaurant is open 7 days a week for food - both for lunch and for dinner - and the menu is stocked full with good locally sourced food, such as their Braised Rump of Belvoir Beef. They also offer 3 real ales and a good selection of wine. However most mouth-watering is the various freshly ground coffees that are made to order from a traditional Italian machine. Menus are changed frequently.
