This July Leeds Roundhay park will inspire thousands of foodies with a passion for fine food and drink.
On 2, 3, 4 July 2010 Foodies Festival Yorkshire will be held in the magnificent grounds of Roundhay park to showcase a wealth of fine food and drink, Michelin star and top chefs demonstration and culinary inspiration from the North.
The new event will join the collection of Foodies Festivals, now in their fourth year, taking place across the UK this summer, including Hampton Court Palace, Oxford, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The event will feature a Chefs Theatre with live demonstrations from local Michelin star and celebrity chefs; food and drink masterclasses, with hands on tutored tastings by industry experts; over 100 speciality producers and local exhibitors; favourite local restaurants and top bars and a Veuve Cliquot champagne tent, as well as live entertainment and children's masterclasses.
This years chef line up includes TV's Rachel Green, Michelin-starred Andrew Pern of Star Inn, Simon Gueller of The Box Tree and James Mackenzie of The Pipe and Glass, as well as Harvey Nichol's Richard Walton Allen and Masterchef the Professional finalist Murray Wilson.
