Mimino Georgian Restaurant
197C Kensington High Street, Kensington, Greater London, W8 6BA
Mimino, which means 'sparrow-hawk' in Georgian, is one man's quest to introduce Georgia to the UK. Zauri Goreli, the owner, has a business card which says "Bringing Georgia to Kensington" on the back, and "You don't need to be Georgian to feel at home here." The passionate owner Zauri will offer advice and suggestions to those not so familliar with Georgian cuisine, making Mimino's accessible to anyone feeling a little adventurous! What distinguishes Mimino from the hoards of existing restaurants is the sheer enthusiasm brought by Zauri to his venue, and the unique atmosphere. You will leave the restaurant full of great food, cheer and brimming with knowledge of the origins of Eastern European lager! In short, Mimino, is a warm, earthy outpost of Georgian warmth and hospitality in the island of cool Britannia which is Kensington.
