The Red Lion is traditional English pub in the heart of Norwich, a city pub with a local atmosphere by the river Wensum watched over by Norwich's iconic cathedral spire. It
stands beside the historic medieval Bishop Bridge, the site of the Red Lion has been a pub since the building of the Cathedral and the bridge in 1249. The present building dates from around 1760 with parts going back as far as the 15th century.
The menu is simple, fresh and seasonal and sourced from local producers where possible. Handmade pizzas are made to order and the Sunday carvery has good reviews.
