The Drum Inn in Cockington is a country pub and restaurant oozing rural charm and rustic character. The picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on the menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing the bar.

Dating back to 1936 The Drum's claim to fame is its architect; the world famous Sir Edwin Lutyens (www.lutyenstrust.org.uk). Lutyens designed the pub as the focal point of the village and today his beautiful vision retains all its traditional charm thanks to a recent million pound restoration project that replaced its thatched roof, restored its beautiful gardens and made the most of its superb views.

Enjoy a spot by the roaring log-fire or make the best of the British summertime by eating alfresco in the pretty beer garden.

Ate here November 2014. The food was fantastic, and served quickly. Good ales and recommendations from a knowledgeable barman. It was raining heavily outside, so it was great to get in the warm with the open fire.

We came here for the first time on 28th September 2013 with two family members who were visiting us.The food was brilliant, the service was first class and we all had a wonderful evening. We will definitely be coming here again.
