The Hartshead in Ashton-under-Lyne is a country pub and restaurant oozing rural charm and rustic character. The picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing the bar.
The inn is named after Harsthead Pike, the monument situated at the beacon point of the area. It is possible to see the counties of Cheshire Lancashire, Yorkshire and Derbyshire from the Pike. There has been a building on the hill for centuries. The present tower built in 1863, is the third on the site, as previous towers have collapsed.
