The Punchbowl in Sefton Village is a country pub and restaurant oozing rural charm and rustic character. The picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on the menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing the bar.

Thought to be about 200 years old, earliest records show The Punch Bowl to be the only pub in the village in 1824. The grounds of the building stand on the original Grand National Steeplechase course and provided the meeting place for the 18th Century social club, 'Mock Corporation of Sefton' who claimed their charter was granted by William the Conqueror.

Enjoy a spot by the roaring log-fire or make the best of the British summertime by eating alfresco in the pretty beer garden.

What our members say about The Punchbowl, Sefton Village - Vintage Inns

Adrienne K.

This place has a nice ambience, and is decorated with dark wood and a lot of soft furnishing, so it feels warm and intimate. Staff are attentive and helpful. Whilst the food is pleasant, it's expensive, and portions are on the small side, so I was glad to be able to use my Gourmet card.
