Baranda is located in Wokingham town centre. The restaurant serves authentic Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine using exceptional spices and fresh ingredients to create dishes that are full of flavour and all with their own unique and distinctive taste. Inside the restaurant is modern and comfortable with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Staff are happy to make recommendations from Baranda's extensive menu and are attentive without ever being intrusive. On the menu diners will find lots of classic curries including korma, vindaloo, dhansak and madras alongside balti and tandoori dishes. Chef's specials include chicken Kashmiri, a north Indian dish with a mild creamy sauce of bananas or lychee, the lamb sagfrizee, a spicy Bangladeshi style dish with green chillies and spinach, and a Goan king prawn curry made with spring onion tomatoes and coriander. There are plenty of vegetarian options on the menu and lots of Bangla style vegetable dishes. With very mild and very spicy curries on offer, everyone will find something suited to their palate. Baranda is a short walk from Wokingham rail station and all of the town centre's attractions are close by. The main shopping streets, night life spots and Wokingham Superbowl bowling alley and laser quest centre are within walking distance of the restaurant. Baranda Wokingham has a well-stocked bar, with wines, spirits and Indian beers. The restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner so it makes a great shopping pit stop or a mid-week evening treat. Whether dining with little ones, friends or the other half, Baranda's cosy atmosphere and authentic cuisine are a winning combination.
