Ignite Bengali & Indian Restaurant, situated in the heart of Edinburgh's West End, offers one of the most talked about fine-dining experiences in the Scottish capital.

Established in 2004, and located just five minutes from Haymarket station, this venue has a unique cultural ambience that complements its symbiotic fusion of contemporary and classic Bangladeshi and North Indian cuisine.

Chef Asad Miah works in tandem with owner Mohammed Khan, whose previous clientele have included the likes of Michael Flatley, Oliver Stone and former Scottish rugby coach Andy Robinson, to produce a range of exciting dishes which, together, they have developed into cutting edge classics exclusive to the venue.

Their fruity chicken tikka massallam, which contains more than five different types of fruit, has become synonymous with Ignite and the restaurant is one of the few Indian venues in Scotland to specialise in vegetarian and seafood dishes.

One of the restaurant's other specialities is lamb pasanda, which is made to a special secret recipe and laced with Tia Maria - just one of the liqueurs available from Ignite's extensive bar.

Ignite is also one of the few Indian restaurants in Scotland with an extensive champagne selection - stocking Joseph Perrier, Cristal Louis Roederer, Bollinger, Dom Perignon and Krug, to name but a few.

It also features a wide range of red and white wines, in which Ignite's dedicated staff are trained to recommend and tailor to specific Asian dishes, as they do with selected side dishes and sundries.
