Like most other towns and cities in the UK, Dewsbury is home to a good variety of restaurants including some great Indian eateries. The excellent Armaan is one of those, a delightful little Indian dining room found in the Batley Carr area of the city just north of the city centre. Armaan is a popular spot for local dining, offering a diverse menu and a friendly and professional level of service.
Variety is certainly the spice of life when it comes to the Armaan menu, with a wide selection of delicious Indian dishes to choose from as well as a choice of kebabs, burgers and southern fried chicken to keep everyone happy.
Fans of the more traditional kind of Indian food will be happy with a fine array of classic curry dishes to choose from whilst those looking for something different should browse the chef’s specials list. The Armaan Balti is always a favourite, made with a combination of chicken, lamb and prawns with mushrooms and a special herb mix, as is the mouth-watering lamb tikka masala, cooked in the tandoor oven with ginger, garlic, onions, tomatoes and coriander. The fish karahi is a great one for any lover of fresh fish, cooked in a concoction of garlic, ginger and tomatoes.
Armaan features a contemporary dining room decked out in funky monochrome wallpaper with white furnishings. Service is excellent, with helpful recommendations from the menu.
