Aroma is in the centre of Burnley one of the typical old mill towns that dot the rough countryside of this part of Lancashire. Recently awarded the county council's 'Recipe 4 Health award', chefs and staff at Aroma will cater to all dietary needs and requirements with professionalism and care.
One of the key features the award is based upon is 'the demonstration of clean and fair practices.' Aroma demonstrates its adherence through its state-of-the-art restaurant, with not a speck of dust in sight! Moreover, the restaurant is in a modern and contemporary building that boasts the very latest of interior design. From glassware cabinets and display balconies to high-class tableware it really is a glitzy experience.
The kitchen specialises in Indian cuisine and paying extra attention to seafood and vegetarian dishes in devising their menus. The sabzi niramix is a sizzling dish of seasoned vegetables bursting with flavour from a combination of toasted seeds, including mustard seeds, fennel seeds, onion seeds and poppy seeds all lovingly combined with Aroma's special spice concoction.
All of the popular Indian curries are available from madras to bhuna, dopiaza and biryani. Aroma strikes an innovative balance between traditional Indian cooking with these favourite dishes, but with some up to date amendments. The "Hash and Bash" is a great example of Aroma's modernity, a less commonly seen dish and certainly less commonly used name! The dish of grilled duck fillets stuffed with bamboo shoots and smothered in a medium curry sauce is a new addition to the menu and one that is flying out the kitchen.
Having been the only restaurant awarded such an honour as the 'Recipe 4 Health' title, Aroma, Burnley, is definitely one to visit - if only to gaze at the awe-inspiring restaurant whilst delighting in the fresh, lovingly made hot curries.
