The Balti Kitchen and Dining Room has resided in Macclesfield since 1995. Throughout its reign as the go-to restaurant for locals for Indian cuisine in the area, it has accumulated awards for both outstanding service and quality of cooking.
Whilst providing a vast array of options without compromising on quality of each, the Balti Kitchen assists diners where possible by providing a carefully curated list of chef specialties from the most popular dishes on the menu. Whether it’s a tender lamb or juicy chicken tikka massala, covered in a cream and mild sauce or the king prawn peshwari, cooked with tomatoes, onions and capsicums – diners are treated to a taste sensation.
Each dish is meticulously made from fresh and locally sourced ingredients, and the dedicated team take time and pride in their craft. In particular, the chicken handi numuna, fairly hot and cooked to a ‘secret’ recipe, is flavoured by tomatoes, fresh onions and coriander. For a dish that can only be described an a subcontinental masterpiece, the nawabi murgh is deemed medium strength on the spicy scale, utilising juicy and tender chunks of marinated chicken and keema, cooked with spices, onions and tomatoes, topped with a boiled egg.
Don’t worry, the Balti Village caters for vegetarians too. The vegetable malaya – a mild curry cooked in a thick and creamy sauce, with a tropical touch in the form of pineapple and the sour tasting vegetable Balti spice infusion are both excellent choices and convey a range of tastes expected from Indian cuisine.
