Birashwamys is located just north of Ilford in Essex. It was established back in 1970 so the friendly team of waiting staff and chefs have decades of experience creating and serving tasty, homely Indian cuisine. Usually, Birashwamys is filled with loyal local customers who return again and again for the great food and welcoming atmosphere.

On the menu diners will find all of the classic curries they know and love along with tandoori cooked meats, balti, thali and biryani dishes. There are also some delicious Persian specialities. Chef’s recommendations include a variety of karahi dishes. The karahi tetly is a fish curry cooked with coriander, tomato and chillies, while the Bengal tiger prawn karahi is cooked in the tandoor oven and then served in a sauce of secret spices and tomato.

Dishes at Birashwamys Ilford range from mild and creamy to hot and spicy and there are some European dishes for those who would rather avoid spice altogether. Attentive staff are happy to give their advice on the menu and share their extensive knowledge about the dishes and their ingredients. Diners who can’t find their favourite dish on the menu are encouraged to request it anyway; the talented chefs will do their best to create it.

Birashwamys is a short walk from Fairlop underground station. It’s on the Central line and just 40 minutes to central London. Fairlop Waters Country Park and Golf Course are also close by. The restaurant is located by Broadway Market, Ilford centre is just 12 minutes’ drive away and there are a number of public car parks close by.
