Bunno is an Italian restaurant that can be found in the heart of the town of Romford just minutes from Romford train station. Bunno’s aim is to provide the town with one of the finest coffee roasting and pasta experiences, serving freshly roasted artisanal coffee and fresh pasta made daily.
Coffee at Bunno comes in one of three carefully selected blends, roasted daily in small batches. The Artisan is a light roast coffee made from 100% Arabica beans from Honduras and Kenya, whilst the Cappuccino blend mixes 70% Arabica with 30% Robusta beans from Brasil Santos, Guatamala and Indian cherry. The third option is the Caffeine Boost, a medium roast blend made from 30% Arabica and 70% Robusta beans sourced from Brasil Santos, Indian cherry and Vietnam. All are available served a variety of different ways, including espresso, filter, macchiato, flat white, mocha and cold brew.
Fresh pasta is available in several different shapes, such as the popular fusilli, penne and gnocchi as well as the less well known torchetti, bucatini and cavatelli. Once you’ve chosen a pasta shape it’s time to decide on a sauce. Whether it be a classic Bolognese, carbonara or arrabbiata, the spicy sausage ragu, a simple pesto or any of the other delectable options, all are sure to please.
Pizzas are also available at Bunno and diners can opt for margherita, chicken and mushroom or aubergine, courgette and tomato amongst others, each served by the slice.
The sweet treats are also not to be missed, with the menu showcasing classic dishes such as tiramisu and panna cotta with forest berries as well as a daily changing special.
With such a wide variety of delicious, freshly made dishes and drinks as well as a fantastic discount for gourmet society members who book in advance with their gourmet society membership, Bunno is a must-visit venue for both pasta lovers and coffee lovers alike.
