After holidaying in the UK, Italian couple Elena and Christian fell in love with Scotland and relocated to Aberdeen. They also brought their passion for Italian cuisine with them, opening DaVinci on Alford Lane in 2017. Their contemporary twists on the classics have earned them a reputation amongst foodies who come for their hearty grills, fresh pasta and more.
Perfect on a cold day, DaVinci is sure to warm up the coldest diner and can be found down a charming cobbled street. Their dining room offers a cosy rustic style with its floral lamp shades, exposed brick walls and framed still life paintings. Staff are also very friendly and will be happy to recommend dishes to new diners.
From hearty gnocchi and fresh caprese salad to cured bresaola and grilled ribeye, there’s something for all tastes at Davinci. The eatery is also very popular with vegans, who have an entire menu to make their way through. While many restaurants only offer salads, DaVinci ensures they won’t be left out with dishes such as lasagne, artichoke risotto and bruschetta.
For an exciting alternative to traditional Italian dining, there’s nothing quite like DaVinci. Gourmet Society members will find the best experience when they present their membership cards upon arrival and call ahead to book their tables. It’s the perfect excuse for a bottle of wine, panna cotta or a starter.
