Delhi 41 has been a local Chesterfield favourite since it opened in 2005. Serving authentic Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine in a relaxed but lively atmosphere, Delhi 41 has a winning combination. They pride themselves on their fresh and original approach to Indian cooking whilst still maintaining a deep respect for the region's rich and diverse culinary tradition.
On the menu diners will find all of the classic curries they know and love alongside biryanis, tandoori dishes and a whole host of sundries. All of the dishes at Delhi 41 Chesterfield are cooked with fresh ingredients and have their own unique flavour. Chef's specials include the Bombay lamb, a medium spiced curry with an aromatic sauce including potatoes, onions, pepper, tomatoes and fresh herbs. There's also the Duck Delight, duck breast marinated in delicate spices and served with a plum sauce and mita massala, a mild dish of marinated chicken, fruit juices, almonds and cream.
Anyone watching their waistline will be pleased to see a range of healthy options on the menu, specially selected by chefs to use ingredients that contain lower cholesterol and fewer calories than usual. There are also English dishes for anyone averse to spice, lots of vegetarian options and a children's menu. The staff at Delhi 41 are efficient but always friendly and will take time to explain the menu and spice levels to diners.
Just north of Chesterfield, Delhi 41 is easily accessed by public transport. Numerous buses, heading in or out of Chesterfield town centre, stop nearby. The restaurant is on the same road as Proact Stadium, home to Chesterfield Football Club, and close to Stand Road recreation ground too.
