Situated half way between the Morden underground station and the Morden South train station, the Princess of India is a charmingly cosy restaurant that serves superb curries with a smile. Inspired by manners of cooking found throughout the entirety of India, the dishes served are deliciously diverse and cater well to all tastes.
Now accepting the Gourmet Society card, members calling in advance can enjoy everything on the eclectic menu at a fantastic price, prompting them to indulge in a few extra taste bud tantalising choices, such as one of the irresistible appetisers.
There’s a mouth-watering medley of traditional curries available, though there are some Princess of India specialities well worth considering. Outstanding examples include the sumptuous Palak Special, a choice of chicken or lamb cooked with spinach, garlic and stir fried with gram masala, and the heavenly Princess of India Special, a combination of chicken tikka and mincemeat prepared with fresh coriander and green peppers.
Offering so much more for guests to savour, the Princess of India works wonderfully as a spot for casual meals with friends and family.
