Just outside of Belfast, along the A1, is the charming Bombay Brasserie. Previously known as Sonali, Bombay Brasserie has undergone a drastic change and taken on a fresh look, providing guests with a warming environment in which to dine of some spicy delights.
Now accepting the Gourmet Society card, members calling in advance can enjoy everything on the menu at an excellent price, giving the already well priced Indian dishes even better value. With these savings in mind there’s little reason not to grab a few extra indulgences, such as some crispy poppadoms or another naan.
Mainly catering to vegetarian and vegan diners, the menu features plenty of delicious choices for all palates. The classics range wildly on the spice spectrum, offering mild mannered guests creamy options, such as the classic korma and the irresistible tikka masala, and providing a wealth of inferno conjuring dishes for those who like it hot, like the fiery madras and the tantalising vindaloo.
Situated close to Queen’s University Belfast and Stranmillis University College, Bombay Brasserie makes for a superb spot to visit when those curry cravings come about after a particularly long lecture or a strenuous seminar.
