The Calverley Grill at Oulton Hall bears two AA Rosettes, and its food speaks for itself. The restaurant is set in the stunning grounds of the old Hall, a little retreat that's nevertheless easily accessible, just south east of Leeds. The Hall itself is a magnificent old building whose design now provides very modern comfort and a sensitive new take on the traditional opulence of the location.
The cuisine is primarily British, with a similar combination of the traditional and the modern as the setting itself. Meat dishes feature highly; the cuts are choice and delicious, simply and accurately prepared, and thoughtfully accompanied.
