The Conservatory Restaurant is part of the Hilton Hotel Basingstoke. The fine dining restaurant, as its name suggests, is in the conservatory and as such it's light, airy and a welcoming venue for a bite to eat. In the summer months, there's also the option of al fresco dining in the garden.
The menu has a range of international cuisine, some healthy and some more indulgent options. There is a choice of steak cuts all served with chunky chips, grilled flat mushroom, tomato and peppercorn, creamy mushroom or béarnaise sauce. Substantial salads, a steamed salmon dish served with olive oil and spring onion mash or mackerel fillets with potatoes, capers and steamed greens are all on the healthier end of the scale. The Conservatory Restaurant menu also boasts a section of Asian flavours including a spicy Thai red curry and an Asian platter made up of pakoras, bhajis, spring rolls and some delicious dips. There's also a children's menu for smaller diners and lots of vegetarian options.
The Conservatory Restaurant and Hilton Basingstoke are very well placed for exploring Hampshire and the surrounding sights. Basingstoke town centre is just 2 miles away and the town's rail station and Basingstoke Common are close by too. The local area has lots to offer including Legoland Windsor, Jane Austen's House Museum, Basingstoke Gold Club and Highclere Castle (also known as Downton Abbey). For guests at the hotel and anyone passing through, The Conservatory Restaurant offers high quality cuisine in a fantastic location and plenty of free parking.
