Ramada Dover is a well-connected hotel less than a ten-minute drive from Dover's town centre. And although only a stone's throw away from the A2, Ramada Dover can be found in a peaceful spot trimmed by tidy lawns. Ramada Dover's afternoon tea is served in the Costa Coffee Lounge ? a radiant space with floor-to-ceiling windows and chequerboard-coloured décor. rnrnRamada Dover's afternoon tea commences with warm sultana scones served with sides of thick clotted cream and sweet fruit jam. The cakes vary with the seasons, but have in the past featured lemon drizzle cake, creamy chocolate éclairs, soft pound cake, fruit tarts and butter cookies. The sandwiches, meanwhile, come tiered with fillings like cucumber, smoked salmon and cream cheese on a variety of breads such as freshly baked poppy seed rolls. Plus ? this being a Costa Coffee lounge ? the coffee option is particularly tasty, thanks to the top quality arabica and robusta coffee beans.rnrnInstead of Ramada Dover's full afternoon tea, diners can keep things sweet and simple and opt for a classic cream tea, or even upgrade and complete the picture with a glass of fizz.rnrnRamada Dover is in a handy spot on the edge of Dover, a port town famous for its dramatic white cliffs, ancient castle and ferry routes to France. Dover's Roman Painted House Museum and tiny, ancient chapel are also well worth an explore. Golfers, meanwhile, should note that the Royal St George's Golf Club is less than a 20-minute drive away, putting its sea-view greens within easy reach of Ramada Dover.
