Ye Olde Greene Manne in Rickmansworth is a country pub and restaurant oozing rural charm and rustic character. The picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on the menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing the bar.

No-one seems to agree how "Olde" Ye Olde Greene Manne is. Some say it dates back to a landlord called Richard Ryder in 1728. Others claim the first landlord was Samuel Fiskett in 1881. Either way it's a historic country pub with a beautiful garden. Its old English charms have caught the eye of many a movie location finder and the pub has starred in all sorts of TV and film productions as diverse as Genevieve (1952), Withnail & I, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Midsomer Murders.

Enjoy a spot by the roaring log-fire, or make the best of the British summertime by eating alfresco in the pretty beer garden.

What our members say about Ye Olde Greene Manne, Rickmansworth - Vintage Inns

An excellent restaurant with a good choice of real ale. They serve extremely good pies designed for them by TV chef James Martin. I chose the Lamb Shank Shepherds Pie and quite honestly I couldn't fault it. I do though suggest you book a table before going to Ye Olde Green Man as it's likely to be fully booked. Please take care though when driving in the car park as the surface is very uneven and not made up.
